Sensorium Galaxy Will Run On Wakatta Blockchain: Here’s Why

Hi everyone! We wanted to bring you up to speed on a major update. Today, we're excited to confirm that Sensorium Galaxy will be migrating to the Wakatta blockchain. This is a move that we've been planning for some time, but it’s now becoming a reality with the recent launch of Wakatta, an NFT and entertainment-focused blockchain.

At the moment, the Sensorium Galaxy metaverse relies on Ethereum to power its in-platform currency, SENSO. This token will be at the center of the metaverse's virtual economy once it is launched in the coming months, and will be used to mint NFTs, support transactions and exchanges, unlock experiences, tickets and events, among other functionalities.

We developed SENSO to ensure that Sensorium Galaxy has a thriving and fair economy, where users can expect transparency and reliability at all times. But looking at how the crypto market has evolved this past year, it became clear that the rapid increase in ETH prices (and other problems associated with Ethereum like congestion), would affect our mission of building a welcoming metaverse. That is why we focused on building a solution that would better fit the needs of an entertainment-based platform like Sensorium Galaxy.

Wakatta was designed with Substrate - a next-generation blockchain framework. Why is it better? Because this way we can solve some of the challenging issues we faced before. With Wakatta, we can guarantee faster transactions (30 times faster than Ethereum, to be more precise), make fees cheaper at under $0.001, and support a greater amount of operations within our metaverse marketplace. On top of that, Wakatta will also connect SENSO to the Polkadot ecosystem, delivering competitive conditions for SENSO token holders. This includes not only cheaper and faster transactions, but also opportunities for interoperability with other Substrate networks.

But that’s not all SENSO holders can benefit from when we integrate Wakatta.

Sensorium Galaxy will be a creator-friendly space. Content creators will be able to create and customize virtual beings, as well as original content like dances, music tracks and others, in the form of NFTs. On top of that, AI-driven virtual beings will also be able to put out their own creations leading to greater monetization opportunities. NFTs will be priced in SENSO and all the content can be bought, sold and exchanged through the Sensorium Galaxy NFT marketplace, where collectors and buyers meet to enhance their experience in our metaverse - and beyond. The rarer or more original the content, the better for creators and collectors.

These incredible opportunities are now made possible by using Wakatta-based SENSO tokens to empower digital creativity, help users create blockchain-protected content and bring their experience to the next level.

Have you ever heard of upgradable NFTs? Or time-limited NFTs? Probably not. Wakatta pioneered a new range of NFTs that are upgradable and time-limited. Simply put, these new NFTs can enhance an entertainment experience like our metaverse and better fit our game mechanics. Upgradable NFTs allow artworks to be built on top of originals without triggering copyright or ownership dispute while time-limited NFTs could be a great tool for issuing event tickets, for example. But the applications are much wider, really. It’s up to you to explore the many possibilities of a metaverse that can run more efficiently, faster and cheaper than ever before.

Meanwhile, if you want to have a taste of the Sensorium Galaxy and experiment with some features that you’ll be able to NFT in the future, like smart virtual beings, you can test them now through the Sensorium App.
