Sensorium Joins Insight Session by British Phonographic Industry

Dec 4, 2020

This virtual session looked at the current trends in the extended reality (XR) space, covering the fast-growing augmented reality (AR) applications to more sophisticated developments in the virtual reality (VR) market. Speakers deeply involved in this sphere offered valuable insights on how these technologies might affect the future of music and entertainment.

Sensorium Corporation was invited to join this session organized by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) in collaboration with leading music media Music Ally and its official partner Bowers & Wilkins.

This session counted on the participation of world-class speakers from Sony Music Entertainment UK, Universal Music Group, HTC, Abbey Road Studios, Facebook, Warner Music, and many other top companies in this ever-evolving space.

In her speech, Sasha outlined the importance of VR technologies in bringing artists closer to their audiences regardless of physical limitations. Also, she explained how Sensorium Galaxy helps artists deliver experiences never thought possible.

“With the opportunities of VR we set free from the limitations of the real world, which takes the creative process to a whole new level. [...] We create accurate virtual representations of artists, their AAA quality, photo-realistic avatars, combining state-of-the-art 3D-scanning with motion capture technology,” she said.

“We are super excited that some of the biggest DJs and electronic music artists have already joined us for collaborations, including David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike – more names are soon to be revealed. Each of these artists will create a series of exclusive performances in Sensorium Galaxy and PRISM World.”

Sasha used this session to introduce the concept of Virtual DJs — artists that are driven by AI technology and perform in a fully autonomous manner.

“Apart from real artists, we are also creating a range of virtual artists and DJs, who are AI-enabled and perform AI-generated music. They will react to the audience, its mood and vibe and this will provide endless variations to their show performances in Sensorium worlds.”
